It never ceases to amaze me how many great picture opportunities there are in your daily life if you just keep your eyes open and your camera ready. All of today's photos were taken on the way to work and at lunch.

---------------

Tonight we're having an office farewell party for Scott and Amanda who are both moving on to bigger and better things. I'm left being the only native English speaker in the office -- should force me to improve my Japanese I guess.
Anyway, party time tonight! WhooHoo, and as we say back in the Great White North, "I'ma gonna get hosed."

Gratuitous link of the day:
Risa Sato is an artist who travels around with giant inflatable characters and photographs them in strange locations (among other things). If you visit her site, make sure to checkout the "Risa Campaign Series" section.

**Note: don't worry about the "download language support" warning when you connect to the site, just hit "cancel." Most of the site is written in English as well as Japanese.

Maybe you don't know it but my wife 'Karen Maneater' is a bit of an Internet celebrity, and like many famous people before her, she received a piece of hate mail (Scroll down to March 13th entry). Apparently, somebody didn't care for the type of Hello Kitty paraphernalia that Karen has been selling from Japan.

I won't reproduce it here because it's already been posted and critiqued on the site of her infamous friend King Velveeda.

Dancingpaul.com: an exceptionally funny site and the most creative use of flash that I've seen in a long, long time (warning, it's a bit on the big side).

Thanks to Jenn for the link

Here are a few shots from last week when I took my in-laws to the Ginza district in Tokyo... bright lights, big city!

I'm planning to add 'send-a-postcard' functionality to hunkabutta, and while shopping around for a suitable CGI script I came across this little gem.

enjoy!

Bon Voyage to Gary my father-in-law and his friend Jean as they head back to Vancouver today.  It was fun...see you guys again soon, I'm sure.

To all my fellow bloggers in the NYC area suffering through the crappy weather, one word... persevere: Spring is around the corner.

I realize that many of you are under the weather, but remember, as Laura raps, FIGHT THE HEAD COLD!

   Head cold
   you mess me up
like you want me just to give up
   more...
